Unscrupulous Sellers Shipping Defective Products

OPEN LETTER TO KUNAL - CEO OF SNAPDEAL


Dear Kunal,


While you may have frequently received such mails, do realize that people reach out to you only when they are pushed to the limits due to your own handpicked team dishing out hollow promises.


When somebody is robbed of 30, 000/- and handed a defective product where shall he/she go if your team is unresponsive and just don’t seem to care? You have made millions but other like me live a marginal existence, and for such people 30K means several month’s savings & consequent sacrifices from family.


I had sent the following mail(see below) to SNAPDEAL customer care, and seems they are anxious to wash their hands off instead of lending a helping hand. Trust this will never happen at your competition - AMAZON or FLIPKART. Competition is at your doorstep with billion dollar war chest. You cannot afford to find your customers turning back on you, trust us.


UNSCRUPULOUS SELLERS SHIPPING DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS*(I sent this mail to snapdeal customer care, but nobody gave a damn)


I had purchased an AOC LE 42 A3320/61 42" LED TV from SNAPDEAL(Order ID: 2505626516).


During installation, to my dismay found that the seller GEETA ELECTRONICS, HYDERABAD had shipped a defective piece. The most important & expensive part - LED panel has 3 black vertical lines – which is visible & noticeable at all times.


A quick internet search revealed that this actually means the panel is failing and will completely go kaput in few months. Possibly the seller shipped somebody else’s returned product! It is very evident this TV was opened and unpacked earlier. Only your sellers seem confident that the customer will give up 30, 000/- and accept this defective piece meekly.


I have raised an exchange request with SNAPDEAL(Complaint No #8261313), and team has assured speedy resolution. However, some smart guy called and asked me to contact AOC for defect inspection. When I called AOC they refused, and asked me to contact seller instead. So, am I supposed to run from pillar to post now?


For once, while sellers seem keen to rip-off your customers & residual goodwill, SNAPDEAL TRUSTPAY looks like a sham. These rogue sellers represent you, why should then customers be the victim?*
