I ordered a squash Racquet from snap deal, delivery happened after 14 days well beyond the expected delivery days and for a surprise I ordered "https://snapdeal.com/product/head-115-ct-squash-racket/1177801" and what they delivered "https://snapdeal.com/product/head-cyano-115-squash-racket/1177800". What a good combination of faulty supply chain and poor process.
it is a simple case of cheating where a customer was shown some product and delivered some thing else. when I met with this scenario I thought I might be the unlucky one but as I googled I understood what many others like me had faced the same scenario, not only I lost 14 days+ pain to make snap deal understand what crap has been delivered I lost a chance to get good racquet, as I dont live in India and my friend who was suppose to carry it from me to India was leaving on 9 Nov 2014. I think it was a mistake to order online.
What is seems clear to me that in the race for getting a bigger online markets share companies have not developed a robust supply chain and process. we can compare these to world class companies but they are nowhere close to International standards which are followed like sigma 6.
These companies are cheating us Indians by providing sub standard services they need to understand that we are "not sub standard human beings" They should be fined for any such mistakes then only they will correct there process otherwise they will keep on doing same mistakes everyday. I would really like to know how many such mistakes such mistake.
One such story amazed everyone "https://firstpost.com/living/the-big-snapdeal-screw-up-man-orders-smartphone-gets-bar-of-soap-instead-1779633.html".
In a hope that standards will improve soon.
