Worst online shopping portal ever faced

I booked a Samsung home theater from Snapdeal on 21st Sep worth 18K, I got msg on 24th that the product against order number 734135896 has been shipped and they provided a way bill number of Bluedart. When I used that way bill number to track my product on Bluedart web site, I got error msg that the Way bill number is incorrect.


This happened for two days when I first called Snapdeal customer care on 26th and the customer care person assured me that it will start displaying status from tomorrow, amazing, how come snapdeal knows when Bluedart is going to update it’s database? He also assured me that the product will be delivered on 28th.


From the next day Bluedart started displaying the status on its site against that way bill no, but by now the expected delivery date has become 29th.


On 29th, when I checked the status, it was Delayed due to Accident/Traffic, contact customer care . When I contacted customer care of Bluedart, they told me that the product will delivered on 1st Oct.On 1st Oct, I didn’t received the product. At around 3pm, I called Snapdeal customer care and told him about the delay in consignment. The snapdeal customer care representative told me that they will get back to me soon after checking with the courier comp, but no one called me by 8pm


By this time I was completely frustrated, I again called Bluedart customer care and now he says that the product will be delivered on 3rd Oct.


I have purchased many products from Flipkart and Ebay, this was my first experience with Snapdeal and that too pathetic.  It has been 10days since I purchased and I didn’t received the product.I never write bad reviews, but after suffering this much, I am forced to write negative feedback, so that others may not fall pray to Snapdeal’s snap money deals. Here are few points that I would like every one to know


1) Snapdeal do not have delivery network of their own, they will take your money and will hand over the product to some third party courier service and will mark the order status as Completed. They won’t care if the product has been delivered on time to the customer.


Flipkart is far better in this scenario.


2) If you have paid for your product at the time of purchase, you have done a very big mistake, they will not listen to you after that. Always buy COD products as if they do not deliver on time you can cancel the order easily.


3) This site is good for purchasing toys, nail-polishes and all other products that cost below 500 bucks if you want to make payment during purchase. Their will be no risk if they do not deliver on time or at all.


4) I would prefer sites like Flipkart and Ebay rather than Snapdeal, at least they deliver within their defined time. It was the trust from these sites that influenced me to purchase from Snapdeal with full payment option at the time of purchase. But now my views are changed.


5) You will run round and round between the courier company and Snapdeal for you own product and both of them will not care about it at all.


6) Mental torture is another side effect, when you pay an amount of 18k for a product and you do not receive it by more 10 days, you will never understand who is cheating with you, the Bluedart or Snapdeal in my case.


I am not sure if I will get my product or not, or if I will get it next year or after a decade, but guys, be careful.


Anyways, this was my personal experience with Snapdeal. the decision of shopping on this site is your own.
