I remember ordering from Snapdeal earlier and getting my product before time.
This time ordered two things within one order. 1. An Led projector & 2. a F&D Home Theatre System on 29th December 2014.(Order no. 4200434455). Both products stated shipped in 1 business day & the edt to my pin code stated 3-4 days time. I paid money for it. It was not COD.
I was in Delhi for spending the new years with my family. Thought I’d fix them before I go back to Bangalore on 5th Jan(I work here).
So. The projector was delivered just within a day. WOW! Quick Delivery.:) Happy Customer.:)
(BTW I did pay 99 extra for same day delivery as it was available for this product & not for the projector)
However, the home theatre. The seller did not process the order for the next 4 days.(What happened to the 1 Business day shipment? 30th & 31st were working days.)
So I tried to cancel it as Flipkart had a same day delivery available for the same product.
However, when I went ahead, I did not get the option to cancel.
Well. when the seller has not shipped for 4 days. when it was written ships in 1 day. Why cant I cancel? I paid money for it looking at delivery dates. if the item is not shipped until then. Y cant I cancel?
So no choice . but wait.
However, being a media person myself, couldnt sustain the unnecessary wait. & looking at the same status "Being processed by seller" for those many days.
I ended up calling the customer care and did try to throw some weight of my media profession too.(Though guess everyone who is unhappy does that too):p
Asked them to cancel. They didnt.
Next morning I get an email apologising for the delay and that the order is being expedited.
I replied back asking cancellation. No response.
The same evening, I receive an email that the order has been cancelled and a new one placed with another seller.
Why do I go through the process of the product being freshly shipped and the courier time? Other websites had same day delivery available. I had just one day there in Delhi. to install it for the family. But couldnt help. I had 3500 blocked.
Now the new seller shipped the same on 3rd January. Yet there is no news of delivery.
5 Days in transit? Is it coming from abroad?
Even if that be the reason. Usually it takes 4-5 days for International couriers too. This is beyond limits.
There is a link to courier tracking site(Blue Dart). god knows what all places names are popping up there Vague Hub names. "National Highway Hub". Abbe kaunsa national highway hai? Yeh to bata do.!
Its a pathetic experience.
THIS IS WHAT THEY CALL "EXPEDITING" WOW!
I will ensure one of my colleagues carry a print story on it soon.
However. Currently my family in Delhi still awaits the product. 10 days after I paid for it.
Should’ve just checked other sites where it was available for same day delivery before ordering. or probably driven to Nehru Place & bought on cash.
Now that my money is stuck. I will have to do the wait.:(
