I really appreciate the site’s speed, the interface and almost everything in terms of brisk marketing and all. However, I had a bitter experience purchasing one deal a couple of months back (voucher no. 45395174)!
The deal said: ‘Pay Rs. 199 to avail Rs. 601 off on Purchase and Installation of Garware Sun Control Window Film @ Car Magic’ Pay in Advance Rs. 199, Remaining Amount – Rs. 0.
The fine print just said that the Sun Control Film range starts from Rs. 1399/- While I very well knew that the starting range of sun control films is from Rs. 1200/- - 1300, so the natural thought process says that you just have to pay Rs. 199 for a sun control film which is offered at Rs. 601 and I don’t have to pay any extra buck.
On visiting the showroom of the above vendor, I was shown different sun control film plans with over the market price pricing and was offered a discount of Rs. 601.
Meaning, I would have to shell out a good Rs. 1300 - Rs. 2500 for the sun control film, which, in the market costs the same even if I do not go for the discount. I contacted the customtakeouter care saying I was not satisfied and requested a refund. However, their customtakeouter support team responded saying we cannot refund the amount because the offer was correct.
While their claim that the refund will be issued if I was not satisfied falls flat! I would request the buyers to be alert while buying on this site and many such sites because they just ’promise’ to refund if you are not satisfied. Perhaps, a gimmick!
I was not satisfied, I was never refunded! Neither did I use the coupon later.
