I had been an ardent shopper at Snapdeal portal and should say am quite impressed. Be it the range of products availability, pricing, Information, Giving time to cancel the product, Money refund. I should say they are on top all the time and I had no problems in all these areas as I had availed all of them. However - there is one area they lack that is - timely delivery . I had issues in this more than one time and all the issues were with GATI Courier service. This particular courier always gives the date of delivery as couple of days more than the estimated delivery date provided by SD and they never deliver on that date as well. If the customer does not call their local office for delivery - the product never gets delivered and on top of that they will tell us that they will deliver whenever they like . Had an issue with my recent ORDER ID - 2188330491 and NOW I do not intend to take the delivery as the guy sitting at GATI tells me that he will deliver whenever he likes. The issue was taken up with SNAPDEAL for using courier partners like these and SD advises me that I can wait one more day to take the delivery or opt for refund . Of-Course I know I will get my refund . I dont need a call from SD to tell me that - My question is - what SD is doing for customers rather than defending their courier partners for these kind of sub-standard actions.
Top guys sitting at SD needs to realize that refunding amount is lot easier than to satisfy a customer and gain his/her trust. They cannot avoid these kind of complaints just because their customer base has grown and are one of the top online portal today . They must be knowing that it has taken lot of effort for them to reach that spot - and must understand it equally takes that much effort to remain there in that spot.
If they continue to use these kind of 2nd grade courier partners like GATI - they wont be staying on the top spot for long .
These incidents had me thinking if I will be shopping again at SD as the waiting time is long / losing lot of valuable time and causing mental agony . having unwanted & unnecessary talks with the courier services - YES . it had me thinking . but as of now the problem is with one courier partner GATI(who had worst rating on mouthshut.com as well) . but SDs product range/pricing is awesome and never had these kind of issues with other courier partners . so I think I will continue to shop till I reach the breaking point . and with this pace of complaints. SD also might fade away one day .
SD must look & take a stern stand with these kind of second grade courier services and I hope they will improve in these areas . With my particular Order ID above - they couldnt do a jack - other than advising me to opt for a refund - What about the valuable waiting time I lost - can they refund that . the mental agony it caused - can they take away all that . SD . think . think .

This is a prepaid order placed on 21-Jun-14. Snapdeal shows Est. delivery date as 28-Jun-14, where as GATI shows as 30-Jun-14(Assured Delivery), The product arrived at destination on 28-Jun-14 morning 10:30 AM but no attempt has been made by GATI.As it is a prepaid product . GATI doesnt care to deliver it even if it arrived on time at Destination. Now it will be sent for delivery only after I call GATI local office . This courier partner is a pathetic courier service partner for SD .
