Never purchase any product from Snapdeal

I had purchased a Nasaka water purifier on 2-june-2014 from snapdeal. They said the product will reach me by 7th June 2014 otherwise I can return the product. But they sent it on 11th June 2014. Manufacture date of the product was 2012.


That means, they were selling me a 2 year old manufactured product on current rate.For installation they said I shall be calling Nasaka customer care. As per the product description on Snapdeal website, the product installation was free and the same was confirmed by Nasaka customer care. I kept calling Nasaka customer care for installation continuously for 3 days but they kept giving me one or other reasons and did not come for installation.


I raised this issue with Snapdeal customer care. They said they will provide the installation from their end. After one day Snapdeal customer care executive dropped me a mail saying that I will have to pay for the installation which is again breaking of their commitment. Immediately I responded their mail by saying that I would like to return your product to poor service.


Now as per the terms and condition of snapdeal, if buyer do not like the product then he/she can inform Snapdeal to initiate the return of the product and whole amount would be paid to the buyer. Further I kept following them for 2 weeks but they kept saying that we are sending our guys for water purifier installation irrespective of my clear response of my willingness to return of their product.


Finally I wrote a mail to customer forum and Pune web police but no concrete response from their end came to me. Then I raised the issue with my Banker. My banker(HDFC bank) asked me for various supporting document. I had sent them all relevant documents. Finally their customer care representative called me and said to return the product back to snapdeal and provide the airway bill number and certainly the case is in my favor so I will definitely get my refund.


As per HDFC bank suggestion I returned the product and provided them the airway bill number. I was told by HDFC bank that within 45 days my case will be resolved. I did not get any response from the HDFC bank for 45 days. I put them an email asking about the status of this dispute. They said I will not get my refund because snapdeal is saying that they did not breach their terms and condition.


Anyway I am not going to leave this battle at this point. I will raise this issue in right legal forum. But certainly I would like you guys to all not to buy any product on Snapdeal and do not hesitate your voice in case you are also a victim of such e-commerce website.
