Dear Team, In your portal on electronic sale offer day with 10% additional offer with sbi debit card purchase, I added Micromax 40" LED to my cart. Under Bank offers I selected sbi maestro debit card,
Since your field text displays as " Enter your 16 digit no" im not able to enter my 19 digit maestro debit card number .
I called customer care by 4:13 p.m today and informed them about this issue. They said there is some technical issue and they will resolve it as soon as possible, also they asked me to check after 2hrs. I checked after 2hrs and now the field has been renamed as "Enter the card no" and now I was able to enter 19 digit number but on click on apply I got "Invalid card number error". I again called customer Care and informed them about the issue.
They hold my call for 5 min and then they asked me to check with SBI customer care .I contacted SBI customer care and they asked me to contact snapdeal customer care . I again called snap deal customer care and explained the issue and the representative keep me on hold for 5min and said he will route this call to his senior Mr.Kapil, then I again explained the issue to Mr.kapil.
He asked me to be inhold for 5min and asked me to try with different card in different system, I said I already tried with 3 different sbi maestro debit cards in both mobile app and desktop browser, all having same issues. Then he again asked me to be in hold for 15 min and finally he said he tried with his own maestro card and he is able to avail the offer. I understood that what he says is not true. As a software engineer I can understand that my 1st request has been resolved my modifying the UI field to accept 19 characters but the second issue is because the client side script validation for the card number is still there and which is throwing "Invalid card number" error as shown in the attached image .
Im highly disappointed with snapdeal and customer care service. If they really value their customer they could have provided a promocode equivalent to the banks offer which will really makes the customer happy and it will make the customer to have trust on snapdeal. But snapdeal failed to do that. We customers sat in front of the device for a long time and keenly watching the hourly offers and purchasing the items. If we get this type of issues during the payment, then we will really gets disappointed. I spent my half of the day with snapdeal portal and its customer care by identifying issues in their site and reported to them, but finally ended with high disappoint ment. I ll no more be a snap deal customer because of the above incident. Big Bye to snap deal and their poor services.
