Snapdeal-A painful & barbarous experience

First of let me just start by saying that I thought many times before coming online on such platform as I had no intention to disgrace a company but at times when you become helpless and hopeless you are left with no choice but to share your painful experience with others.


We all work very hard and it pinches and pains when companies like Snapdeal rob/extort you of your hard earned money, why we go to online shopping companies? It is because we feel they are run by professional backed by buyers protection and they save us time and allow us to shop 24/7 which sometimes is not possible in our busy working life, would you guys believe I was thinking to write here on MouthShut for past one week but could not get time, finally despite coming late from work last night I woke up early today to write this review.


We(me and my family and even my parents) have been loyal and honest customers to Snapdeal since many years, not many would know that once Snapdeal was just local service companies providing coupons and discounts for local restaurants spas doctors etc but now it has become a full fledged online shopping portal, all the best to them but they should have some courtesy and respect for their customers and do not treat them like dirt and idiots.


Till such time orders go smooth and customers do not complain everyone in Snapdeal is happy but when it comes to any issue and buyer comes back and raise a complaint against any purchase is when real horror and nightmare starts trust me this is first ever returns or refunds we requested since our relationship with them for past many years and they have been fooling and cheating us by closing the tickets out of stupidity.


This is in reference to two orders 1374458440 and 1374604183 in which we ordered Radission blue kaju katli a box of one kg each, one was ordered for my family and other was  ordered in name of my mother or for my parents, the order was delivered on OCT 31 and same night on returning home we raised tickets with the company for both the orders


Many issues with these orders were:


1)The ordered quantity was one kilo but quantity received for both the boxes were only 850-870 grams.


2)Boxes were shipped wrapped in Snapdeal plastic sheet without any bubble wrap which made sweet crumbled and dilapidated.


3)Sweet was of very low quality or should I say it was of pathetic sub standard quality and it appears the adulterated material was used to prepare it as even once small piece was making throat dry sore and sick.


4)Later someone told me that these people got preparation from some cheap shop in Garhi, New Delhi.


5)At least fifteen calls were made in past 15 days with series of email complaints and they just dont seem to see or listen and become deaf and blind to customers.


6)They are promoting crook sellers without any quality checks and tossing buyers and giving them pain by extorting their hard earned money like this.


7)Tell me guys we paid no less for two boxes of kaju katli of one kilos each, we paid about twelve hundred, an amount in which you can easily get premium quality sweets from best brands like Haldirams, Ghasitarams, Bikanerwala but we trusted Snapdeal with our purchase only to get pain and disappointment, with all my conscious and answerable to God I must say two of my family members fell sick after eating these sweet.


8)Innumerous pleadings requests complaints screaming shouting crying have gone to company even at Facebook all they would do is hide your complaints from public and would just not reply.


9)I could not understand how can we send images of all such experiences best would have been instead of being party to crook sellers they would have instead taken the products back and refunded the money but no they were not interested in helping buyers but they have vested interest with sellers as they earn commission from them so policy is keep tossing buyer and enjoy the party with sellers.


10)Would your company grow like this Snapdeal, drinking people’s blood and cheating them of their hard earned money, would such money bring you any peace prosperity or happiness and will it help you or your staff and your families with happy life because what I feel  is you are only taking our curses and not wishes because it pinches a great deal when we are robbed or cheated of our hard earned money and I am sure had you been in our shoes you would have felt same.


I am now also writing to two other regulators though  I hoped you would be nice to us and would not cheat us for 1200/- we paid you but now you have compelled me to write to National consumer forum and superintendent cyber crime department CGO complex Bhikaji New Delhi.


For other if you need their contacts please pm me I will share you appropriate desk who would take action, see please let us not sit quiet and we all know one complaint wont make big difference but when regulators and police also see  multiple complaints every day against a company they would sure to take action against such online companies if they are purposeful cheating and harassing customers.


No offense meant to anyone just sharing our bitter experience. A loss of 1200/- would come and go, money can be earned and this pain would stay in for few days or weeks but that horrifying experience would last forever.
