Snapdeal cheated me by sending a different product

I had constantly used flipkart.com and myntra.com for my shopping, but recently turned to snapdeal.com as the prices seemed quite cheap. And the story of regret goes on like this:


I ordered Philips Extreme Vision bulbs(2 nos), Order No: 1399380345 on November 5th 2013. The product took like ages to get shipped. Then finally the product is delivered after 1 week. They had shipped through blue-dart couriers. Paid Rs 1290 as COD. When I opened the product covering, what I got was a normal pair of philips headlight bulbs worth 100/-. The more stupid thing being the price of Rs 110/- per bulb is there on the cover of the philips bulb itself. So pathetic.


When I complained to customer support, they told that the return shipment for the product has been arranged and that the corresponding person from bluedart couriers will come and collect it within 3-4 days.


Two weeks passed and after numerous emails, I get a call saying courier people tried to reach me and that I was not in location which is pathetic. I am carrying around the parcel for the last 14 days and getting this response. Further more when I asked whether they could simply get another return shipment made, they say they cant do it and I have to ship the product and then email them with the slip that I am getting.


I have paid the money, now the shipment will cost me extra and I have to send the product also. Just simply waste of money and energy and peace of mind. I never had any issues with flipkart.com or ebay.in or myntra.com for this matter. Just pathetic service.


I would never again purchase from snapdeal.com nor would I recommend this to anyone. I will always stop other people who want to purchase with snapdeal.com also. Furthermore I will move forward to consumer court to see whether I can get this people to stop making money through fraudulent ways.
