I am very much into online purchases and so that in to SnapDeal as well. I am using SD, Flipkart, Amazon, Zovi, Jabong and Big Basket for almost everything in my life. I love these sites like most of you, so that I can spend more time @ family.:) and do something meaningful in our lives.


About SnapDeal.


I’ve started using SD on 2013, prior to that I was more into Flipkart. SD has a wide range of products and better offers than anyone out there online(Its my research experience). I used to plan all my upcoming events, birthdays, festivals well in advance and used to finish my shoppings at-least 2-3 weeks in advance. For this Diwali also I’ve done the same. I’ve placed an order on 9th of Oct 2014 Order No.3100991640;(that’s well ahead of Diwali which was on 23rd.) The first delivery date was intimated as 15th of Oct, which was fine with me, waited and kept checking @ my security for the parcel, nothing came. It was on 17, I’ve again checked about the parcel, Now SD was showing delivery date as 19th of Oct. I waited for two more days, nothing came. Then I called SD customer care, { we can have a tea or coffee before we speak to the customer care executive because of their newly introduced "QUEUE" system.} they said it will be delivered with high priority, they were also told me that they cannot tell me a date, by when I can get the order delivered, really SMART, eh? There is nothing updated on my courier track page after 14th of Oct. These Delhivery people won’t accept calls, I believe, tried to connect with them to know about the actual issue, there was no use of calling them. Wasted my time again.


I’ve waited asper their suggestion till 21st as that was the date which was displayed on my order status. Nothing came up and I started getting disappointed. I’ve called them again and the response was the same.


Interestingly they sent me an SMS right after the call proposing me to cancel the order, again, I felt like getting fooled.


After 21st they started showing as 27th as the delivery date and which is also over, and the festival is also over. I was more worried that 26th was my daughters birthday and I had to manage to go out and get some items for making her happy.:(. I am still waiting for 3 more items, I don’t know whether I will receive them, and I will surely post if/once I get them.


I’ve placed 4 more orders after the Oct 9th order(Order numbers: 3265779253, 3214562222, 3183904345, 3156701023, all except one item, got delayed much much more than anticipated.


So, my sincere advice to SnapDeal: Please stop your business if you are unable to keep your word. Or please make sure about your courier partners and check their coverage and infrastructure. If you once lost your trust with your customers you cannot win in anything which you are doing.


I love you Snap Deal and thank you for giving me such good offers and VFM products. But its the time to say bye from you because you, knocked down the trust that I was having on you.


Advice for buyers: Please go to shops and purchase more. Its definitely true that online purchases are very convenient and save a lot of our time, it is the time to think about going back to the old custom. Yeah its good and we can get rid of these kinds of cheating and keep ourselves happy. I am surely going to go back to it.
