First of all I would like to thank you for your time in reading my review.I have been a frequent customer for Snapdeal.com and have purchased many products(Electronics, Home ware etc). It has been a good experience and I apologize for not writing the reviews about them then and will take this as my chance to express them aswell.
As I said I have never been disappointed with them and all the products were delivered on time and was fine. However, i purchased a WD GREEN 3TB Internal HDD yesterday and I got a defective one. Was left annoyed and informed Snapdeal about the same, they told me that I would be attended for within 2 days. I again was annoyed as all the excitement of connecting the HDD to my desktop was going down. I got a call from their representative and was told I myself have to take the responsibility for exchanging the drive by calling WD customer service center. When I asked him about TrustPay, he told me that exchanging the drive myself would be a better option. I wasted a day of time, fuel and waiting/explaining at the WD Service center and finally got the drive replaced.
*IMPORTANT NOTE:
To my surprise, the WD Service guy told me that the drive given to me by Snapdeal vendor was used before and they knew it was faulty. It had an complaint history before but wasnt replaced.*
You may be biased or having a cynical view about my review out on top there. But this is what I also thought through reading reviews just like you guys. Not bad to shop from Snapdeal but also be aware that you might land up doing some extra work for yourself incase of faulty items, else another viable option is to go look for a real store nearby and get the good out of it.!
