Snapdeal is one of the most pathetic ecommerce portals with a lot of shady practices.
My first bad experience was when I bought a restaurant deal for Rs 49. Went to the place and found out that restaurant had been shut down since 2 weeks. I didnt get back to them as I cudnt waste my time for Rs49.
Nevertheless, another big mistake, I shopped again last week. Once again my experience turned out to be absolutely horrendous. I ordered a symphony Air cooler worth Rs7490 on 17th April and whilst purchase I was told it will be delivered within 3-4 working days. Then I confirmed with cust services and was told that my product will be delivered on 24th. However its 26th April and I am still unaware about the exact status of delivery. The waybill number they generated doesnt work on Bluedart.com.
My experience speaking with their Customer Services has been absolutely terrible as they dont take ownership and resolve customers concern first time. All they want to do is to pass the Buck to another team. Their Favourite Punchline, " its not our deptt, another team takes care of it and we will get back to you in 48 hours". 48 hours had gone by, nobody got back to me.
When I called again, they said they will let me know in 48 hours again, as they have sent another email to the relevant dept. I want to understand What have they been doing until now then? Obviously I was irrate, so I was going to sound frustrated. But as customer service guy, they should remain calm, but one of their floor supervisors started raising his voice which is something nobody would appreciate and tolerate, so I had to use some french. Absolutely appalled with their services. I seriously regret using snapdeal.
Waybill No. doesnt trace anything. There team doesnt even know whether my product has been shipped, forget about delivery. I get a feeling that the product is not even in stock, . Definitely some shady practices are going on here. When I asked to cancel the order and refund my money, they asked me to refuse to accept the delivery "whenever it arrives" (May be sometime next year) and then ask for refund. Post that it would take 2 weeks for me to get the refund of my money.
Is this some kind of a scam going on. Fraudulently Collecting money from numerous people and earning interest for weeks, may be months before they refund it back. Nobody in Snapdeal has a clue where exactly is my product right now. Now I have told these guys to get back to me with the exact status and give me a confirmed delivery date by 29th April (Monday). Post that I will write to consumer forum. I might even file a case in the consumer court.
Please share if you guys have had a similar experience with these fraudsters and advise how they should be brought on the right track.
