With most shopping sites in India, you can order and hope things will not go wrong. Snapdeal.com is no exception to this rule. I chose a product and since I always problems with delivery(as I live outside a small town) I checked the link which is provided to ensure delivery. I received an affirmative reply. But still, I sent a mail to customer support and they confirmed to me that the product will be delivered to my home.
As expected, it didnt happen. The courier company refused to deliver at home saying tat "it is outside service area".
Since snapdeal promised me, I wrote to them complaining the attitude of the courier (Bluedart) and I got a reply saying that my problem has been sent to the respective department and that they will get back to me at the earliest. The mail further said that I should revert to them if the issue is not resolved within the stipulated time. Since there was no time stipulated, I wrote back asking what the "stipulated time" was.
No reply. I waited for 24 hours more. Still no reply. I sent two more reminders but the silence was deafening.
Is this any way to treat a first time customer or any customer for that matter. If an internet shopping site does not answer mails for 2 days, then it is not worth existing, in my opinion. They may not be able to solve my problem but atleast they should try to do so. Keeping quiet is not an option.
Rotten is the mildest word I can think of, to describe the service.
