I have ordered a Nikon d3200 18-105 camera. I was shipped a nikon 18-55 camera by snapdeal. After I raised a complaint, I got a call from the seller(the actual seller), saying he could not offer the 18-105 camera at the price he quoted in snapdeal so his staff has shipped the 18-55 camera.
However I insisted with snapdeal to get me the 18-105 camera as promised. Snapdeal took 1 week raise the return request and collect the product. It took one more week to send the product to its inventory. I had to call up the customer case every day for some update and I get the same reply saying, they can not give a time line for the replacement. finally after 1 month of regular calls, I got a call from snapdeal saying, they have received the product and because the actual product they promised is not available, they have cancelled the order and said they raised a refund request. I had to again call up the customer care to enquire why they cancelled the order.
To my disappointment, the execute said, the seller do not have stock of the product, so the order is cancelled. when I asked why cant they get the product from other seller, they say, they can not get the product for that price.
Again the same problem for getting the money back, I was told the money would be credited to my account in 7 working days. and I finally got the money after more than 10 days.
Through out the period, snapdeal never replied to my e-mails. Probably they do not want to have proof of the goofup they are doing.
one thing I do not understand, what snapdeal is doing here. Any damn seller can quote a low price, customers buy it and because he can not give the product at that price they ship a wrong product. If the customer complaints, they take the product back and return the money after 1 month.
During the whole process, the customer is at loss. In my case, it was during Deevali, I had bought the product. That was the time, all the e-retilers ware giving lot of offers. I had booked the camera with snapdeal, as they quoted the least price. Now after 1 month, if they return the money, for me to buy the camera I had to spend around 7000/- extra, 1 month of pain and 30 phone calls.
This is extremely unacceptable. When the seller puts up a price, he has to give the product for that price. And snapdeals customer service is the worst I have seen. They do not reply to the e-mails, and even if we call them, they do not respond properly.
I should give a negative rating for their customer support.
