Snapdeal is an online shopping corporate in India with a wide range of products available on the go.
There are literally tons of sellers registered on Snapdeal who sells their products via the site at a reasonable rate. Snapdeals job is to verify the sellers registered and their products as well. But here comes the actual fault in companys operations. They constantly fail to check the authenticity of the products being shipped via Snapdeal for which their customers have to pay a price.
Let me share a personal experience with you. I ordered JBL J33i headphones via Snapdeal from an authorised seller amounting to INR. 3499. The delivery was timely but when I unboxed the headphones, it was a really disappointing moment for me. Right from the box packaging to the headphones, everything was so fake that even a 5 year old could tell a difference, It seemed like the headphones you buy for 30-50 bucks from street, and I did pay 3500 for the same. Now I have to go through a hefty process of complaining, repacking the headphones and initiating a return and most of all waiting for my money to fall back in my account.
I literally wasted one full day for nothing, just because Snapdeal failed at authenticating seller and their product.
What looks on the companys website is totally different from what you get many times. Though snapdeal offers a great variety of products, the company needs to understand that its not the variety alone customers are looking for on their website, rather its necessary for a customer to have a trust on the company for getting authentic and good quality products we are actually looking for. Nobody wants to waste their precious time for others faults and invest their money in bad returns.
I have been through this fake products scenario many times via snapdeal and also know some of my friends going through it too. As of today I have completly ceased shopping from Snapdeal because its easy to pay 100 bucks extra to a retail store instead of having a mental stress of returning their fake goods.
Thank you.
