I had a harrowing experience buying a gift from Snapdeal.com. I selected a product from their stable, made the payment (order number 660663998 on 25th July 2012) and expected like a normal person that the product would be delivered as per the schedule. Please note when I purchased the product, it was in their stock. When I did not hear from the concerned person for whom the gift was meant, I called up Snapdeal to find out the status. To my horror, I was told blatantly that the order was cancelled. I was not even sent any intimation about the same!
When I told the executive about it and followed up by a mail did I find a mail from their end stating what was told to me by their executive. Worst of it all, I am yet to get the refund. Just imagine, the company got the payment from a hapless customer, the gift is not delivered to my relative (tarnished reputation) and now there is delay in getting my money back. I guess Snapdeal has grown too big to consider small customers like me but I warn that wretched service like this would not serve any purpose.
I urge everyone to refrain from the blitz of companies like snapdeal and not get duped of money and reputation.
