One of the best sides in the 70’s, the 80’s and early 90’s .. the last time liverpool won the premiership was sometime back early 90..... last season Liverpool won the UEFA cup et al but premierhsip glory still eludes them...
Think of the liverpool greats and one thinks of Ray Clemence the Goalie, Graeme Souness, Kenny Dalgish, Bill Shankly and the list goes on.
As for the batch of 2002.. not a bad side ... with the likes of Micheal owen, El Hadji Diouf, Emile Heskey, Steven Gerrad, the Kops are going for glory this season, already in the worthington cup quarterfinals.. Liverpool is a force to be recknoed with this season.
