I purchased a sofa from Sofa town 2 months back @60k. At the time of booking, owner and salesman appeared very professional and pleasing. They promised everything what we wanted and on top of that they gave many suggestions to keep us as their customer. They took the drawing of the kind of Sofa we were looking for. While booking we spent at least 5 hrs at their shop discussing the design options and explained the design appropriately. In the lump sum amount they promised Sofa, Center table and 2 puffies. Here is my overall feedback
Overall Quality of work is not good
1) Once they delivered the sofa it was broken from one side. They repaired it after 2 days.
2) Quality of foam is not good.. Within 2 weeks of using sofa, it felt like sitting in a deep well … you can understand now
3) Middle seat foam has come upwards compared to corner ones, this looks really odd.. But there is no one to repair the same every after personal visit to the store to register this complaint
4) After a month, wood of lounger was broken from middle. Lounger has a broken spring and after multiple calls to them, they are not ready to repair it.
Service is not good
1) Owner doesn’t even pick up the call and talk to customers
2) My complaints are still not addressed even after months of delivery. I visited their store personally to talk to them
3) Once full amount is paid your voice will fell on to deaf ears.. Don’t go on what do they say. Big talk but no follow up
They don’t follow your specification but what they think as a design of Sofa for you
After 2 weeks, they called me that Sofa is ready. I was hit with many surprises on what they had delivered
1) Sofa was not as per design we explained to them. For lounger we gave a different design but they prepared something else. Here they said this would require whole rework, so we will try to do little adjustment. I compromised here
2) They themselves suggested to put black glass on side table, when I reminded them they clearly denied. They asked for extra money for the same. Bull shi t !!! Now I was completely clear that I am stuck with these guys
3) We asked them to keep cloth on handle, that also they did not follow
4) For center table they prepared one default design without getting approval from me. Now they said we can’t prepare what you want. I asked them to put up black glass instead of white glass, here they again went back and said there will be extra charge. Earlier they were ready to provide anything in the given amount.
Major points while dealing with Sofa town is
1) Find some other sofa guy if you can unless you are under some pressure to deal with these people. Quality of overall
2) Get everything in written in the bill, they don’t stick to their promises
3) Get at least top view and front view drawing of sofa. Keep one copy of drawing always with you.
4) Don’t lose any bills.. Talks will go at level to tell you that see we didn’t write this in your bill
Be Careful with Sofa town.. They have 2 branches one in Shaikpet and other one in Gachibowli. If you are still stuck with them please take everything single word they say in writing.. Otherwise you are bound to doom
