I purchased Honda City 1.5 SMT through a new dealership - Solitaire in Borivali on May 19th 2009. The bad experience began while I had to spend 4 hrs just to book my car. The sales person did not specify all the documents to be brought in and insurance people kept asking for more and more papers. It was really frustating experience.
Before the payment was made, sales person promised delivery on a requested date making all kinds of promises and giving all reasons for making it. But to my shock once the payment was made - the delivery date became almost 4 days later than promised. Talking to the manager also did ot help. Quite an experience that was.
The delivery was smooth though, and the sales person was quite helpful. We were asked to fill the feedback rating - which we mentioned our booking experience and promised delivery date etc. and gave a rating of 8(of 10).
I got a follow up call from the sales person asking for why I had given 8(which in their terms was poor). On mentioning my reasons, she insisted that I change it to 10 as she my get a cut in her commission etc. I maintained that I can not change it - she even offered to come to our house with a bouquet if I am ready to cahnge it.
I do not know if this wll bring good customer satisfaction to the Honda showroom or set a wrong example.
First free service was good. Second service(supposed to be free) - they charged me for engine oil and a washer( I am not sure if engine oil was supposed to be changed after 2300 km or not).
I had been promised a touch up and polish to remove some marks on the door of the car. The service manager promised me that it will be taken care of. But to my surpise I still see the marks intact on it. WHAT A POOR SERVICE.
