Somnath temple is destroyed and reconstructed many times. arab ruler invaded and looted and destroyed by majorly seven times in medieval ages but then also it reconstructed the latest reconstruction(Jirnodwaar) was happened by sardar vallabh bhai patel in 1947.
The Somnath Temple is the first Jyotirlinga among the shiva’s 12 jyotirlinga. it is the important pilgrimage of hindu dharma and there believers. according to the some religious document the construction of the Temple is held by ADI Shankracharya before more than 2500 years ago.
