Hindi movie theme, BUT style different

Two twins, separate at birth, live their lives in different conditions, meet at the climax. Sounds like a 70’s hindi movie story. But it is not.

You may get the illusion that the book is emotional and sentimental but Jefferey Archer is not that type. He has written a unique, addictive story which has a number of twists. The human drama involved makes it very special.

The story obviously revolves around the lives of the 2 brothers. Both are in pursuit of power but in different ways. The lives of both are described beautifully and with great precision. Every feeling, ambition, attitude of theirs has been presented in the best possible way.

Earlier addictive word is used in this review, but generally such books cannot be called page-turners. But I prefer to call it so because of the style of writing of a great author of our generation, Jefferey Archer. He gets you so much involved in the story that, you feel you are a part of it. After every incident you want to know what happens next.

Reading of this book also depends on the kind of mood of the person. If he is stressed or tired I would not recommend him this book. This book is to be read with a fresh and joyful mind so that you can appreciate Archer’s writing.

All in all this is a superb book for all ages. The back cover summary may not impress you but if you read the book you shall know that the 70’s hindi movies should have been made in this way.
