Rich writing - Poor Story

’Sons of Fortune’ by Jeffrey Archer--- is the first book that ive read from this authors stable. To be true I enjoyed reading the novel but the big drawback was that it went very dramatic at lot of instances....looked like watchin some formula film.

But his style of writing is one that any reader would covet for and that aspect has been totally admirable in this book.

His handling of direct speeches is wonderful - funny and enjoyable. You can read this novel for its writing alone. But sometimes the banking instances get too technical and those parts I found it quite difficult to comprehend.

This book is like you sit back and watch a play unfold and enjoy it for its visual rather than its emotions. To be true this novel never goes in to the suburbs of emotional content. Its more like reading 20 short stories with the same set of characters.
