I brought this Sony 1 TB Wired External Hard Drive from flipkart about 5 months ago, since I am pretty much addictive of watching Blue-Ray movies on my 64 inches SmartTV so just to store them I brought this device.
I am reviewing this hard drive on the basis of it’s performance(keep in mind I am using Windows 7 Ultimate), well this drive comes with the support of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 both, in terms of data transfer speed company claims that it will certainly give speed upto 480mbps on USB 2.0 and 5 Gbps on USB 3.0.
Well I don’t know how much truth in these statements but on the data transfer point of view I move a mp4 file maximum of 89.24 Gb(Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone) and it took around 38-40 seconds to move(Keep in mind I am transferring using USB 3.0) as probably the speed doesn’t meet the statements of 5Gbps but still the writing speed is excellent. I recommend this hard drive to everyone who is looking to buy an external hard drive. The product is so nice from sony.
