I am an amateur photographer and I did a lot of research before purchasing the Sony a77II. However, in the few weeks I have had it, I’m pleased as punch.It has great build quality. It’s comfortable to hold and it’s worth every penny and then some.At first the menu system was intimidating, but once I started playing around, with the help of the manual and other online tutorials and aids, I could see the intuitiveness and logic of the menu structure. Plus, the inline definitions for each menu item, which I assigned to a button, helped tremendously.The AF(Auto Focus) system is superb.
Of course, it takes practice to get use to it, but given time, I am sure I will be able to take full advantage of this marvelous advancement in camera technology. I specifically like its Lock On Auto Focus; Expand Flexible Spot feature along with Face Recognition and Eye Auto Focus which gives me technology NO OTHER camera has.Sony has significantly raised the bar with this camera. Now the other guys have to play catch up.
