I bought the sony az 2d model of this sony product.
First of all the main grouse I had with this product is that it used to spike me every time I touched it.Then I have no idea why isnt the equaliser button on the remote, maybe the sony guys dint want me to be a couch potato and their idea of giving me daily exercise.
Though the system looked snazzy with all the slik touch buttons and red and orange lite and side slot mechanism den the red highlights in the speaker cone are all so oooozing with ooooomph.
But this one is a beauty without brains.It takes ages to read a mp3, dvd alike.Then you have to wait and wait and probably not the best thing to have in a party . The party would get over before it reads the mp3 and gets to work.the cassette system made itself present whenever you use it sounded like a big monster munching your cassette.
After exactly a year after its warranty expired the system started showing signs of fatigue.
The all too oomph oozing slide slot started showing its nakhras. The cd would get stuck and the display would always embarass you with saying that how dirty your cds are.Then I used a cd cleaner but to no avail. It was much more a moody person dan I am. Giving me a complex.It would work only when it felt like.
Then I took it to the service center where they ripped me off Rs.1600. And advised me not to use mp3’s god damn y on earth could and mp3 player do what it was meant for. It worked good for another six months den it quit.
This time I took it to local mechanic. This guy had trouble opening it.Den after a week using it as a guinea pig he returned it to me and this time I get ripped off for Rs.1000, god save my luck he didnt have to replace anything, but as he had to use all the tricks in the trade just to pry it open he charged me a bomb.
Now after another 3 months it wont budge and sadly I couldn’t afford to get ripped off again.
It has turned out to be a white elephant. Thinks me was it a beauty or a beast. Lost faith in Sony **completely. Very poor shame on you Sony.
Now the system is put to RIP.
