I purchased a Sony OLED A8G 55 inch television on Oct’2020 costing 1.5 lks and in 2.5 years of moderate usage the screen has blacked out. The service center has quoted INR 60k+ for screen replacement.
What’s disappointing is Sony is not willing to acknowledge that the product is of inferior quality and their response was cold and not even willing to empathise the customer. Sony has still not given me a root cause of the issue, there is no physical damage nor any issue with the electronics.
They are not even willing to give goodwill discount for the screen replacement.
Please do not buy Sony OLEDs they are unreliable and service center wants to just extract money from customers.
I will never buy a Sony product in the future.
