I purchased Sony Bravia KD-49X7500E in 9th-Dec-2017, but after 8 months one day TV stopped working and was not turning on. I contacted Service-Care people, they suggested some tweaks and checks which I did but still the TV didn’t turn on. I launched a complaint on 17th August 2018(complaint number 49360181) and till today which is more than 2 months the TV is not repaired by the service center. Their engineer had come 3 times and tried replacing various parts but he could not get the TV on. I called number of times customer-care to escalate this issue since weeks were passing without any update but their customer-care is just show-piece, mainly data entry people who will take your complaint and give you a complaint number, if you ask them to call the service center to know status, they say that they can only message to service-center. It is highly disappointing that when you invest extra money on reputed brands expecting the product quality to be superior and service to be excellent and you not only get worst product but pathetic service. I was given various excuses every-time I call service center. “Sir your parts is not available”. “Sir. your card has not come”, “sir your card has come but it is faulty” .”Sir next week pakka.” “Sir I will call back in half an hour and update(for which they never call-back)”. When I asked the service-center manager Ali, that Sony has already wasted 2 months of my warranty will Sony add these 2-months in my warranty? Then he asks me to buy extended warranty. These shameless people have no clue what consumer goes through.
When I tried to talk to higher management through their customer-care to know why till 2 months still my TV is not fixed?, they say their manager is busy and will arrange a call-back, but they never call-back.
To give you contrast what good service means, I had a Dell Monitor which went bad, the Dell people replaced the new monitor within 3 days at my house, from then I am fan of Dell service and products. But sorry to say Sony is just piggy-backing on the reputation it had earned long ago and their products have become worst and customer service pathetic.
If you want to get frustration and headache try SONY product, or else just leave them, they are no longer worth.
