I purchased this tv on may 2016 Sony Bravia KDL 40EX520, It looks great otherwise, sound too is excellent in this smart tv.
But after one day in June 2017, the display went blank, and nothing was displayed on the tv, I called customer care so they told your warranty is over.
Video quality was very good and the sound was too to the point, it is not a value of money due to things that I faced.
I took it to the customer care, they told that the motherboard of the tv gone and replacing that will cost you around 13000
So I must say all electronics are same, whether its sony or some other brand, I didn’t expect this from such a brand like sony.
Afterall all the manufacturing and assembly is done in China.
Service and support of sony are very bad, they don’t greet you well and are not at all interested in your problem.
