I had just had a bad experience with my previous Philips LCD TV so I was worried in buying a new LCD tv but since I had already purchased tatasky HD box and was loosing that rental money and the money of bluray player so I made a tough decision to buy another LCD tv.
I first went to croma and looked at some cheap lcd Tvs since I was scared of loosing more money I looked at an AOC and a LLOYD TV both were for 25000/- 40" I had almost finalised on the AOC and had gone to my car to get the checkbook.
When I saw the Sony shop next to croma I decided to take a visit in there too as soon as I entered the showroom I was amazed with the picture quality of the line of TVs I realized that it was due to their new picture engine named x-reality.
I asked the sales person about the features and price of the CX520 that had caught my eye from the moment I had entered the showroom it was pretty big but pricey compared to other brands it had 4 hdmi ports, 2 USB ports, Ethernet port, PC input, AV-1 and AV-2 input and internet tv.
That was quite a lot of features and it had the new x-reality picture engine I even saw a home theater and decided to buy that too. I signed a check of around 80000 for the bundle on the spot and compeletly forgot about my fears about LCD and the AOC TV in the excitement of the Bravia.
The TV was delivered the very next day and the person who came to install it was very professional and just for a comparison my previous Philips was wall mounted in about 15 minutes on thin brackets whereas this person from Sony took at least an hour and fifteen minutes.
He used thick mounting brackets and put metal component in the walls to hold the mounting brackets, its almost 3 moths since I owned the TV and it has given a very good experience and changed my views about LCD TVS.
Good thing I had forgotten my checkbook in the car that day.
