I had bought a Sony Bravio LED TV in September 2012( Model No. KDL-46HX850, Serial No. 3252392) from Mehta E-stores Pvt. Ltd, 215, 2nd Floor, Sector 38A, Noida on 16th September 2012
I learnt sometime early September that I have an option to extend warranty of my LED tv by another 2 years for which I reached out to customer care and I was advised to reach out to authorised service centre( i.e. Jaypee Electronics, Sector 2 Noida) .
Based on the same, I reached out to mentioned service centre on 15th September 2013 and issued a cheque of Rs. 7, 500( cheque no. 011882) which was debited from my account within three days. I was not issued any extended warranty card but a payment receipt( Receipt No. 6646 Dated 15/9/2013) stating that extended warranty cards are not available at the service centre and are awaited from Sony and in any case, the same will be sent at my residence by courier within 10 days or not later than September month end.
I have been waiting since 15th September till date but till today I have not received the extended warranty card. I had also not received any efforts from Jaypee Electronics in reaching out to me on delay. I had called at Jaypee Electronics landline no and spoke to a lady who promised a call back but till today no body called me back nor I have any updated on extended warranty card.
I had to finally call customer care no. of sony to raise this concern which I did on the morning of 21st October 2013 and the concerned executive advised me to drop an email at this email ID for further action against the dealer.
The issue is I have no update since 15th September, 2013 till today on extended warranty cards/coupons. My money was debited from my account within 2-3 days of cheque deposit. No one till today has called or spoken to me from Jaypee Electronics nor any action happened between my last call to customer care on 21st October till today.
I had hardly expected such a service or behaviour from a company of repute like Sony. I expected accountability owned by Sony but unfortunately they didnt do that as well.
Sony is surely one of the worst service provider and that is what I can conclude based on the worst experience I have gone through with them. I will never recommend Sony to anyone just because of its customer service level. I had never imagined this till I experienced it myself. The story didnt stop with my last post on this page of Sony rather it continued thereafter too. I had called customer care no. again on 1st November, 2013 and spoke to a girl, Divya Kaushik( who was escalation manager on the floor) . She gave me two complaint reference nos.( i.e. 16237636 and 16379845) and promised a call back by 4 p.m. on the same day.surprisingly that 4 p.m. has not come yet.this is the level of commitment from these guys.!
Best wishes
