I am happy with Sony for their customercare

I had bought a Sony LED TV 26 inch about 3 1/2 years back for Rs.28, 000/-. It had 1 year warranty. I had bought an extended warranty for 2 years paying Rs.1500 at that time. After 3 years and 3 months the TV stopped working. I was very disappointed. I telephoned their customercare and their service engineer arrived the next day itself. He examined the TV and told that either its display or its motherboard is gone. The cost of repair could be more than Rs.10000.


I took the TV to the Sony service center in Kozhikode. They took in the TV. I told I will pay the replacement cost after some time. After a few weeks I went to their office and deposited the amount for replacing the damaged parts.


To my surprise and pleasure the Sony executive called me after a month and told that they are going to give me a brand new 32 inch LED TV with 1 year warranty. When the TV was brought to my home for installation I paid installation and transportation charges Rs.1000 and another extended warranty of 2 years for Rs.2000, totaling Rs.3000.


Even though I paid 13, 000 Rs., I have a brand new LED TV 32 inch with 3 years warranty. I am happy with Sony for giving me this offer and taking their customers seriously.


I would definitely like to own more products from Sony in future
