Dont buy this product, atleast not for next few months.
I bought this product mainly because I wanted an internet tv( tv with browser and DLNA capabilities) after doing some research and trusting the brand, I decided to go with this.
I have a complaint against Sony service center Hyderabad .One of my TVs KLV-32w562d after 2 years of use suddenly started rebooting and flashing 6red lights. When I requested for a visit at Sony helpline, Chaitanya electronic sent an engineer( Charged 230rs only for visiting) . The engineer tested the TV and said the backlit is defective, trust me I can tell the backlit is ok just some issue with the power supply coz the backlit lights up, but can’t help so I asked for a cost of the back lit. Here to my surprise, the service center replied that they are not getting backlight from Sony so I will have to but the complete panel. Cost of backlit is 4000, but the panel will cost 12000.! It’s like my cars carburettor is chocked so I need to replace the entire Engine! If Sony is making profits like this then SHAME on This Japanese Brand!
Also at start when I bought this TV and after getting it installed I figured out that it lacks browser capabilities, which I was really looking forward to even though it has been clearly mentioned on the Sony website that tv have those capabilities. That was a big setback and I felt betrayed. I called Sony customer care and they informed that tv dont have those capabilities right now and will be coming in next update which is due by end of April( Sony should have mentioned this on there website, moreover I am not sure why they launched it to the marked when it was not fully ready) .
I am not sure if thats going to happen as till know I haven’t seen any kind of updates meeting there timelines. So I would advice to wait till tv gets that update.
Also, tv does not support side view functionality which is Sony app to control tv from Smartphone.
So please think 100 times before purchasing Sony LED TVs.Don’t cheat yourself.
