I bought SONY BRAVIA BX 300 (32inch - HD) in the month of February 2010 in Chennai and thought this is the right time to give review, so that this may help many, who are planning to buy LCD TV. Before deciding to buy SONY, I had the option of SAMSUNG, LG, PANASONIC and finally VIDEOCON.
SONY vs Competitors:
SAMSUNG: In the showroom only SONY and SAMSUNG stole my eyes because of the picture clarity. But coming to durability and built in quality and same performance for many years, I will strongly opt for SONY. Even sound quality of SONY is far better than SAMSUNG.
LG: Picture clarity is not matching either SONY or SAMSUNG, so I did not consider this one.
VIDEOCON: Picture clarity is lesser than LG. Audio and cabinet quality is very very poor.
PANASONIC: I know this is a big giant. But if I had a plan of buying PLASMA, I would have surely gone for this brand as they are the king in PLASMAs. I dont want to take risk in buying their LCDs as I have other brands who are specialized in LCDs
Pros and Cons:
Picture Clarity: Really a clear and amazing picture clarity is received even in the normal cable reception. While watching movies thru DVDs, pic quality is amazing. Colour output is realistic.
Sound Quality: BRAVIA has clear sound quality, even 10 to 12 points is enough for a normal living room, but it has 100 points as the max. No other brand can compete with Bravia’s sound quality.
Features: SONY provides many small features which is very useful, ex: even videos can be viewed thru USBs. This feature was not available in SAMSUNG while the time I purchased, only photos can be viewed here.
Quality: One can really see the cabin quality when compared to other brands. As every one already knows they are the no:1 in quality.
Cons: To be frank I did not notice anything odd in this product even after 10 months of use.
Finally I would strongly suggest SONY BRAVIA would be a real value for money, customer can surely enjoy its quality output for many years compared to other brands. Even after sales service is really good in SONY, service persons are really quick in reaching helping us.
