Sony once again stood first on my dependable list of Electronic Products. Now this is about 5-6 yrs back.... I have had decided to by an HP CD RW.
My PC Vendor recommended me a Sony and also assured me a replacement warranty within 1 year. Touchwood, its working awesome since then... Never had a problem with burning my fav CDs.
I had an LG Burner before this and it crashed on me once. The complete CD Tray actually flew pass me while burning a CD on high speed with a loud blast. Since then I never trusted LG PC Products.
Though later my Vendor gave me a replacement Drive at no cost but I sold it off to my college pal :) The good thing about this CDRW is that it never has been too noisy unlike the LG one.
I have had problems with some CD getting corrupted during the Burn process but I shouldn’t put the blame for that on the Drive... it was my fault most of the times as generally run low on space on my C Drive partition and the CD Burner always needs the space equal to the CDR size on the Local Drive to cache the files.Overall I would rate the Drive as Very Good.
