Bought this unit from HiFi Buys and could not be happier. Works flawlessly, every time. Never, ever had a disk jam with this unit. Sony has it down with their ES series of changers. I have owned Kenwood Sovereign’s changers, and had lots of difficulties with text add, and with disk jams. I owned a Pioneer Elite changer, but sold it since I could not daisy chain another changer. Pretty much everyone else has just given up when competing with Sony on CD and DVD changers!
ES warranty, sound, ease of use and quality beats any other product out there!! I’ have owned many, many changers, CD and DVD alike, and like this one the best. I have used an ES warranty once, on a high-end amplifier, 4 years after purchase, and had a very pleasant, trouble free expereince. Sony just fixed it with no hassle or grief.
I use this unit in my Russound whole-house audio system to provide asscees to my sizeable CD collection throughout my home. The Russound system has an infrared code repeater feature that allows control of the CD changer from anywhere in my home. The Sony ES unit works flawlessly, with nary a hiccup, ever.
