Thanks Aarti for your Mail, thanks to my other friends also. Today I will write a review on my Latest mobile phone that is Sony CMD - J70 WAP 1.1, which I purchased yesterday from Ansal Plaza, Delhi. I have purchased this after so much comparisons with other models such as Nokia 6210, Nokia 3330, and then Panasonic GD93, 92 etc.
May be you’ve seen this Sony Model, a Silver color without a tail or you can say without an antenna. This is not the only thing which sets it apart from other models such as Nok 3310, 3330. I think the feature I liked most about this is its small length, very less weight about 60-70 gms and also a very unique Jog Dial feature. For techies , here are the details :
Standby time: 60-330 hrs (dependent on network and usage)
Talk time: 2 hrs 30 min - 9 hrs (dependent on network and usage)
The most useful feature of this phone perhaps is the good integration of Moblie Explorer and POP3 Email, yes it has an (Microsoft Mobile Internet Explorer) unique interface like that of Outlook Express, with fields like TO, CC, BCC, Message Body everything, also you can check your Yahoo Mails like that in outlook by giving the POP Address (pop.mail.yahoo.com) and SMTP Address (smtp.mail.yahoo.com).
Also, you can type the URL’s of your favourite websites such as that of https://mouthshut.com. I checked Mouthshut.com and it shows up immediately.
Other good feature is that of 4 grey scale high resolution graphic display, Recordable Ring tones, where one can record his favourite songs or any voice and replace it for the Ring tone. Good SMS feature with sounds and pictures, Phone book up to 500 entries, Organiser, Scheduler with an attractive Calendar, Graphic world time clock, Calculator with currency converter, Games with sound such as Bananas, PicPuz, Mindblaster & SandArt are some of its nice assets.
For the techies, a good Data Communication via RS232/USB cable, Plug one end to your PC and other to your Cell and tranfer your Address book of Outlook .....
Now for the Most Important thing.. Whats the Price of this Damn Model ?
Its 7000-8000 Rs in Grey Market and 11000-12000 Rs in an Authorised Showroom with a Damn Bill.
O Shit, I forgot one important thing, that of Integrated hands-free speaker, same as that of Speaker phone of Tata’s.
