I bought this cam(1 year before) because I thought I’m getting a good offer from Sony. 5.1 MP, 3x Opt. zoom, 2.5” lcd screen in cost of just Rs 10999/-. While in search of a gud cam, my lot of friends told me that digi cam is headache to have. I heard lot of stories of Battery problems, lense problems, pc connectivity problems from people and visiting service center frequently. I got different views from different people. So finally I decided to go for a cam which I feel is a better suited me.
Eventually I went for this model and believe me I’m the most satisfied customer of sony as far as this cam is concerned. It gave me a complete piece of mind over last one year and delivered superb performance.
There are lot of site which will give you the detail specification of this model, but I’ll tell you the secrete of my piece of mind. First of all, you’ll get a large screen of 2.5” LCD disply which you cant get in any other model. Remember this is the most important parameter as far as a digi cam is concern. Most of the times you are traveling outskirts while shooting pics and no possibility that after taking a pic you will connect it to your laptop or pc to have a look of it how pic is taken. You are bound to see the pic taken in the screen provided I the cam and habitually you does that infact every person want to know how the snap came after taking it. In this case, a big screen provides a gr8 convenience. So always consider this point while choosing a cam.
Other thing is that its pc connectivity is remarkable. When you connect cam to PC with the help of USB cable, your pc immediately acknowledges the cam and you can instantly transfer your pics in most easy manner. I’ve seen other cams getting hang while connected to PC.
You can always capture video shoots by using this cam. You can take 1.5 hr of shoot if you are having 1GB of external card with nice quality. One minute detail I would like to tell you people. You can not have zoom option while shooting a video. It’s provided in Canon A series cams. But if you’r not looking to take videos frequently then it doesn’t matter for you as like me.
The most important thing, cam is having the world class Carl Zieuss lens, which is the gr8 pleasure to have for any cam. That’s why the pic quality is incompatible. Its just amazing guys…….you wont believe me…….its remarkable……J
There are lot of shooting modes available for you, which provides preconfigured settings like night mode, mountain mode, candel mode, lake/sea mode etc. This realy eases your handling………I just cant forget those snaps I shoot in Divali with Diyas in my house.
Battery……….piece od mind, no probs at all.
One imp thing, people will suggest you that buy a cam which is a product of genuine cam company. I don’t believe this at all. Even genuine cam companies like Nikon uses lens(Which is the most important part of your cam) of Carl Zeiuss. If Sony provides you the same then what else remains………digital technology……….can anybody match to Sony in this regard…….
What else you are looking for………just go and grab it……by closed eyes……trust me!
