Sony Cybershot DSC-W1

Sony Cybershot DSC-W1.........what can I say. It is certainly the best digital camera I have come across till now. I had to buy this camera because I lost my old Olympus.....and boy, I sure don’t regret losing it.

This beauty comes with a 2.5 inch extra large lcd screen, Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens , 3x optical zoom, 5.1 megapixels....what more can I say.

The fully packed Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 is housed in a very compact, stylish and durable metal body about the size of a deck of playing cards.

It is powered by two AA rechargeable shots which by experience last upto 500 shots.

The Cyber-shot W1 is the perfect camera for photographers who are just beginning to explore the wonders of imaging.

You can select 5 modes of picture quality - VGA, 1 Megapixel, 3 Megapixel, 3:2 Mode, and 5 Megapixels. It has 6 different languages including English.

It has a mpeg movie mode which has 3 modes of movie quality - 640(Fine) , 640(Standard) , and 160. The length of the video is only limited by the space on your memory card.

There are 7 other photo modes-Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Landscape, Soft Snap, Candle, or Beach.

These modes can be adjusted through a small dial located at the top of the camera along with the power button and shutter release.

The ports are on the sides and include an easy USB connect port, memory stick port , dc in and av out ports.

The Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 is sold at under $400 along with a free 32 mb memorystick pro and a battery charger.

Overall this camera is a great deal.
