Product itself may be outdated, still I feel this could help those who wish to have the latest camcoder from a branded company(SONY). It has been 2 yrs since I started using this camera, which has constantly troubled me over the last couple of years. Just few months back, I could get hold of ’how to do’ with this gadget. I had all problems what the forums discuss:
1. Cannot download movies easily to my PC(struggled for months to know how to do, with my brand new PC of highest config, and ’by chance’ I could do that, the procedure is very complex).
2. The s/w given with the product cant be worse than it is.
3. The head seems to go dirty stopping the handycam shooting, but this I noticed that it happens within the first 30 secs. of the tape. After running 30 sec. length tape, it comes out neatly. I used to clean the head many times and endup seeing the same problem, which I’ve overcome recently.
Atlast I could do what I wanted, but I hate the way I’ve come along. The only feature I was impressed was its Zoom-shots with zeiss lens. I suggest one to learn from other’s mistakes. I definitely recommend not to go by brand name, and I hope things are not as bad as it was when it comes to SONY!
