Great camera

Though I have to admit I always feel my friends 3.2 Canon Shot is amazing and the picture quality excels my 5 megapixels camera, but then Canon are the Camera ppl and Sony are TV, Camcorder and DVD ppl.

To cut it short picture is extremely Good but not extremely professional. If you are looking for professional shots get a Canon. As a Graphic designer i’d recommend a Canon.

My favourite camera is deifnately Canon but they had not come out with digital camera more than 4 mp and the video was for 1 min.

I found an olympus which was 4mp too with 10X zoom.. wow !

Other 5 mp range was too expensive and no camera in the market at that time could record unlimited Video (supported by a 128 - 1 Gig memory stick ofcourse)

USAGE

Easy to use camera.

Software is not too High-tech, easy transfer to PC by USB (2.0) cable. Though Infrared would have been a blessing.

VIDEO

VGA quality at 16 fps.

Unlimited Video recording can record movies until your memory stick is full.

Audio is recorded with the video, and you can hear the audio playback through the speakers on the camera. The sound quality is pretty good considering it’s a digital camera.

32MB Memory Stick, you can capture 87 seconds of video.

With a 128MB Memory Stick, you can capture almost 6 minutes of video. (640 x 480)

PROS

Good quality images at all resolutions. Indoors and outdoors.

Excellent night shots

The flash works really well better than many cameras I’ve used earlier.

Seems to charge quickly

Extensive features; fast daylight shooting; autofocus-assist light.

CONS:

While shooting Video you can’t Zoom, you have to set your zoom and then Record. SIZE: Not really pocket sized, I wouldn’t carry it in my pocket without the cover and have scratches on it !!!

BATTERY not last longer than 90 minutes. It has a built in battery charger meaning you cannot charge a battery separately it must be plugged into the camera.

MEMORY: There should have been atleast 128 MB built in Memory, 32MB memory stick is not enuff. I bought two 128 MB sticks, 256 Mb was out of stock and 512 MB was too expensive. FLASH takes too long to recharge after each picture.

SCREEN: After clicking a picture, the picture moves further quickly, you barely get to see what you clicked.

No Carrybag though I was lucky I got it free during a promotion otherwise that is Extra.

Overall, besides the CONS, I know I didn’t pay zillions and I must sacrifice some features I still love this camera specifically for its Video recording that no other camera came up with at that time.
