The Cyber-shot DSC-T100 is Sony’s new top of the line, compact point-n-shoot digital camera. It offers a range of interesting features such as an 8-megapixel CCD, 5x (35 to 175 mm equiv) Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens & 31MB of internal memory with expandable Memory Stick Duo (PRO).
2 shooting modes are available : Program Mode and Auto settings. In program mode, the user is able to adjust settings like white balance, ISO sensitivity, Metering, focus, etc.
The 9 scene modes make it a breeze for anyone to point, m shoot and click great pics. The T-100 with the durable metal body and very compact size is easy to carry anywhere. The location of the lens in the top left corner of the camera, one has to be careful that his fingers aren’t blockign the lens while shooting.
The 3.0 inch LCD screen (230 K Pixels) is the largest I’ve seen on a camera so far! The LCD screen is very impressive and works very well in all types of lighting conditions indoors and out. The screen is easy to see outdoors and it will " gain up" (brighten) in low light situations, making framing much easier.
The T100 has a very short start-up time and delays between shots is minimal (the specs say a shot to shot delay of 0.9s , which is impressive indeed).
The image quality of this camera’s 8-MP resolution is quite good, and the higher resolution would enable the shutterbug enthusiast to get large size prints and enlargements without losing out on pixel clarity. The updated 9 Area Multi-point AF system and new 5x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens is
also top of the line, generating sharp and crisp exposures, with pleasing color saturation / color balance.
The T100 features a tiny in-built flash with a range of about 4 inches to 12.1 feet. This camera is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a small, easy to use camera, that takes very good photographs in auto mode, but also includes a slew of manual settings.

Sony’s shipping this with a 1GB Memory Stick as a special offer for a limited period, so buy it while you can! Also, you might be able to get a 12/24/36 month finance for this product from Sony, thru Citi, etc, which makes it easier to own.
