Object of desire.. Get it and flaunt it

I got this T33 @ 16000/- in May 2005 (last year) at Kolkata. I put a 256 Mb card immediately to expand the storage. Since one year has passed since I bought this one, I think the review now is more honest and not written in excitement.

Well details of specs are available on net. I would stress on ease of use and potential of the camera.

First thing that attracts is the slim and curious looks. At first I thought it is a cigarette case. The lens though small is extremely powerful and has very very good colour balance. A Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar is the ultimate ! Sony cameras are famous for natural colour capturing. Capturing and recording a video is very easy and doesnot need a Rocket science degree. Quick last photo view and still photo managing is also very nice. Ergonomics are good. I observed that new model T7 has keys on the left side and LCD on the right which I think is specially made for Lefties !!!! But T33 has certainly better layout. LCD is good and does not fade out under Sun. Features are in a truck load and if you go through the manual, you find that this camera is a full fleged studio in itself.

Zoom is effective but 3x optical is ofetn a limitation in outdoor shooting. I would love to have same camera with 6x zoom optical.

Other limitation is the flash which work wonderfully within 10 feet but fades away beyond that. I think this is good enough for this size camera.

Connectivity with other multimedia like TV, PC etc. is very simple. Uploading and downloading is quick. Photo editing assistance is good. Though I feel there are much better software avaialble for editing.

All said and done A SONY IS A SONY.......
