Sony DSC-F505 is a good buy

I have used this camera for more than 6 months, during which period, I must’ve shot more than 2, 500 pictures with it. Mostly close-ups of jewelry items like rings and pendants. Also did some panoramic landscapes.

It’s best features are : (a) max resolution of 1600 x 1280, which is good enough for a 4 x 5 printout (b) a 10x macro which allows you to shoot even a 1 Rupee coin at 1:1 magnification and (c) a lens which is rotatable by almost 180 degrees !; which means you can shoot the underside of your table without actually having to sit under the table. Just rotate it’s lens to point upwards, position the camera below the table, and shoot !

All in all, I highly recommend it. Amongst semi-professional cameras, I think it is the best. If you want higher resolution, then you have to go in for the Fuji S1 Pro or the Nikon D1
