This phone has almost all the features of a high end model, yet it comes at an affordable price tag. Vga camera, mp3, photo caller id, voice recording, infrared, java, u name it & it has it. Bluetooth & FM radio r the only missing features. A notable feature of this model is it’s lens cover that protects the lens from scratches.
It has 12 mb of internal memory & no support for external cards. this is more than enough for taking large no of photos with the camera in the highest resolution. but with 12 mb u can only squeeze in 2-3 mp3 songs. So the bottomline is, though this phone can play mp3 u really can’t use it as an mp3 player.
Regarding the reception quality, many people say that sony ericsson models r not as good as nokia. since i’m living in the city where there is full coverage, i’ve never had any reception problems.
i’ve been using this phone for almost 4 months now. Recently i’ve been having problems with the joystick. it doesn’t respond sometimes which I presume is bcoz of the dust accumulation.
On the whole this is a very good model from sony ericsson that offers great value for money.
