Smile and Sing along with SE C510

If your are thinking to buy Sony Ericsson C510, let me tell... you have made a right move. Comparetively in today’s market where no model stands for more than a year SE C510 will definitely be a long running horse.  You have come here means... I am sure you all would have gone through its specification so I wont dig those in our discussion, but I will throw light on my experience with this phone.

Connectivity: -

GPRS Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 - 48 kbps

EDGE Class 10, 236.8 kbps

3G HSDPA; HSUPA

If you see this is a 3G phone, but what we miss is Wi-Fi. Still for people with decent internet usage this phone does not lets you down.

Looks: Pretty decent, may not be that attractive still does not looses the charm.

Display: Too good. 256K colors Size 240 x 320 pixels, 2.2 inches - Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. My experience says it easily beats Nokia 16M display handsets.

Multi Media features:

  • Face, smile detection though this feature is not that great, but work decently well if you are not in hurry to click the snap. Very slow shutter time which sometimes is a huge minus point. But the picture clarity is amazing. Options to choose from lanscape, potrait, beach, sports, panorama, document, twight light landscape..... and many more.

Hey I forgot to add this part in my review before editing....LED Flash. Wow, you can use this as flash for still photography, as light for night video recording and for me a wonderful powerful torch.

  • MP3/AAC/MP4 player with Reflex Bass headphones and Mega Bass equalizer I tell you this has superb bass effect. I own a Cowon D2 PMP, and I felt SE C510 can be compared at times.

  • TrackID music recognition - with this you can record few mins of music from radio, theatre hall any any other way and search for the song on internet.

  • YouTube service in Media Center

  • Organizer

  • Voice memo/dial

  • Motion gaming -  plenty of options as motion games free download are available over the internet.

Battery:

Standard battery, Li-Ion

Stand-by Up to 400 h (2G) / Up to 350 h (3G)

Talk time Up to 10 h (2G) / Up to 4 h (3G)

This is the best catch. The phone hardly needs charging. For my usage of 2hrs of talk time and loads of music play per day, I need to charge this phone once in third/ fourth day.

My verdict: With a price tag of 9K let me tell you the huge advantage is - Being a CyberShot series it has awesome music player. The catch would be the Walkman series can never match this CyberShot features and camera quality, but C510 very well matches the Walkman series Music. I petty those Walkman series owners!

Your ideal fully loaded music/ camera phone is here. Go for it, you will love it!

I hope this review of mine on SE C510 was helpful, if so please rate it. This act of yours will surely encourage me to solve or help you  know better about this product.
