SE K700i....phonebook limit, what to say?

Review : Reading all the reviews here on mouthshut.com. All the people missed out one thing which made me change my mind replacing my nokia 6600 was not the 40Mb limit, but the 510 number address item limit only! This phone cannot take more than 510 ’’items’’ in your address book.

What am I talking about? Well, nowadays all phones address books come with extensive details of people in our address book, like company name, designation. mobile no., house no., fax....etc...Now, Nokia has no limit on how many names and sub-entries you can store because it has Dynamic Memory. The K700i has a limit on how many names and sub-entries one can store. 510. THATS IT! Here each persons name is 1 item, mobile no. another, office no. another...etc. So, for each person on an avg. you’ll have 3 items.

Therefore approx 170 entries and you’ll be carrying a notepad or another phone for the rest of your address book!! I have nearly 700 contacts with god know how many sub-entries. So I have to put a stone on my heart and wave the K700i goodbye! :( The phone otherwise is simply too good for words. But what made Sony Ericsson take this step, I dont’t know. Maybe they’ll come out with a K710i with EDGE and Memory Expansion slots! So, now I’m just changing the front panel of my 6600 ands using it as ’new’, just for my satisfaction!

Pros : Everything, beats Nokia 6600 back to Finland

Cons: Limited Phonebook, Memory and no EDGE
