Sleek IS Definitely In.

I had been happy using a Nokia 6600 for the past 1 year, however a month or so back I came across this stunning new phone from Sony Ericsson - It would be fair to say ’It was love at first sight’. The looks and the features appealed to me, and here I was with a new and shiny Sony Ericsson K 750i.

In all fairness I went in for the purchase on impulse ( and let’s not forget I was damn bored of my bulky 6600) - however after having extensively used the new Cell Phone for more then 1 month, I don’t regret my decision to buy this phone, moreover I am sure I can write a pretty objective review for the benifit of my fellow MSians.

This phone looks pretty Simple, Sleek and Sexy.......now that’s an achievement in itself, you know to find these 3 qualities together. Although the buttons layout and size reminds of earlier Sony Ericsson Models like the T610 and T630. The size is perfect, it fits quite comfortably in the pockets, is easy to hold - so it’s not too small either. But believe me it packs quite a punch for features despite the small size.

I guess most phone nowadays have all the standard features, this one has them too. The screen quality is quite good, the buttons are perfectly responsive to the touch - though a little bit of space between the keys would have helped people with big fingers. Bluetooth and Irda are the standard modes for wireless data transder, wonder if anyone still uses Irda? Anyway the connectivity works perfectly without a glitch. Data cable for connecting the phone to a PC is included as a part of the standard package with the phone. Even though the functions need some getting used to, specially for people who are migrating from Nokia Phones, once you get used to the functions it works too good.

Did I mention the camera? Well Well Well, the camera is the surprise package, with a 2 Mega Pixel Camera, let me assure you-your digital camera will not be missed. Have tried capturing images in all kinds of lights and situations and the results are really amazing- the flash takes good care of dard conditions. A 64 MB Memory Stick is again included with the phone, which makes it possible to use the phone like a proper camera.

Even though this is not a walkman Phone - like a model just introduced by Sony Ericsson, the sound quality from the Headphones make you feel as if you are actually using a Music Player. The sound quality is pretty okay, no complaints at all.

Now comes the most interesting part - this phone is compatible with a software called ’float’s Mobile Agent’, if you use this software with a K750i, I am sure you will not be going for another phone anytime soon. With this software you can basically control the phone completely from you PC or Laptop - I guess we need a new review for the software, but take my word for it, and you will be truly amazed to find the capabilities of this phone and this software.

All in all a pretty good buy if you are looking to buy an integrated product offering Phone features, a decent Camera as well as a pretty good Music Player.
