I finally bought k790i .... after a research over a month i narrowed down on this phone for its features ... the phone in the race were from nokia and samsung’s 3 mega pixel phones . Sony surely has an edge over the nokia counterpart with the phone features but nokia has the so called great design and look . This phone looks great with the black body and the designed front panel . The camera cover with cybershot print on it looks impressive . It does open sometimes while you try to pull the phone out from the pocket .
The phone is great with the 3.2 mega pixel camera , the design and the menu options display.But compared to nokia phones scrolling through the main menu is a bit slow . Actually speaking this phone can be termed as a camera with the phone features . I recommend before buying this phone you must be aware of the camera functions of the any of the cybershot camera’s as the phone manual doesn’t mention any thing about the camera feature .
The phone comes with the inbuilt of memory of 64mb and a memory card . am a bit amazed as the reviews i have read about this phone , the size of the inbuilt memory varies from 32 to 80 mb . The add on memory card is M2 type which is not readily available . Its better to wait for 1gb card as the cost between the 512mb and 1 gb card is hardly 500 bugs.
The keypad is ergonomically desiged and the thumb is always at right angle while typing the text message . but the central toggle key is very sensitive and the design of the same needs a rework as the dust can easily get accumulated.
The phone screen is awesome and the display beats all the modles in the market .The screen protection is must buy with this phone The screen has a reflective tinge and gives mirror effect when viewed from an angle .
The phone needs charging of 2 hrs atleast a day , the battery life is fine , the phone status displays the battery status and the battery drains quite fast after the status shows 50%.
The phone is quite similar to nokia counterparts it does hang once in couple of days and you need to restart the phone by pulling out the battery . The flight mode is great feature and the games quite interesting . The clarity of the music is great you would surely rank 750 I higher on the music feature .
Overall great phone , i suggest that when we are buying a phone with all the available features .. you are bound to have some bugs ... cheers .... but still this is far far better than nokia N series phones ....
