The phone is an amazing addition to the already feature rich Sony clan and keeps up with the family tradition and only boosts the family name much higher.
This phone packs a punch and will deliver a definite blow to any phone in the market, and to some digital cameras as well. No wonder Sony named it Cybershot after its digital camera range. So here you have for the cost of 11k, a 3MP best in the class digital camera, with again the best in the class music quality and a bonus 1GB memory card for free. A sure winner.
The menu and other options are Sony regulatoryand havent changed over the last few years. Media player buttons are embedded on the side panel of the phone. The phone luks bulky but trust me it weighs a lot lighter than most of the Sony and Nokia phones in market nowadays. The camera is designed for a digital camera and requires special mention with a host of features like 1mp, 2mp and 3mp resolution shots. Xenon LED Flash is the best in the business and gives u best pics even in darkest of the night. You may not even notice this at times.
Music quality is adequate with HSRP150 quality headphones being the std, you can upgrade to walkman earphones if you wish for better quality. The Digtal FM radio quailty is fantastic and its loud as well. The speaker phone though weighs the phone down, with low output. Even the ring volumes are lower compared to other phones, but not so much for you to miss a call.Vibration mode is ok. But this is a problem Sony needs to address with all its phones.
The phone signal reception and audio quality are on the finer side and it luks professionally like a PDA. So no jerks in carrying the phone around and in meetings. The battery lasts about 3 days with 3 hours of music, 5 hours of talking. Phone is equipped with Bluetooth and also supports usb and infrared for communication. These a re the standard Sony features and dont let down.
The only problem I faced in this phone so far, is that off late, when I try to take ppictures in a bright room using flash, the pictures come dark. Without flash they seem fine and even under darkness, flash seems fine. DOnt understand whats wrong, but I will hand it over to the Sony guys.
So the verdict is , the phone is more than its worth at 11k with all the features and an extraordniary camera. You might think twice about buying a digital camera if you have this phone. Trust the phone, its a sellout. You wouldnt get a Nokia phone with all these features at this price and this quality.
